Privacy &
Cookies.
We keep the personal information needed to run the House, and aim to ask for no more than necessary.
Who is responsible
STILLNESS is a digital membership operated by VALRYGG STUDIO AS, a company registered in Norway (organisation no. 923 998 837), at Skagavegen 138C, 8724 Saura, Norway. VALRYGG STUDIO AS is responsible for personal data processed through STILLNESS. Email hello@stillness.house for privacy requests.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the House, we process your email address, sign-in and account details, subscription status, transaction records, messages you send us, and the notes or saved items you choose to store in your personal space. Our website also uses limited technical information such as browser data, device information, security events, session identifiers and cookie or local-storage preferences. Payment card information is handled by the payment provider, rather than being stored by the site's own pages.
Why we use it
We use your information to create and maintain your account, deliver subscriber content and payments, remember your saved work, answer support requests and keep the service secure. These purposes are based on performing our contract with you, complying with legal obligations, and legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and service security. Where required, we rely on your consent for promotional emails and optional analytics or advertising technologies. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Emails
Service messages about an account, payment or membership may be sent when necessary. Optional letters, welcome marketing and offers should be sent only when you have agreed to receive them, and marketing emails include an unsubscribe option. You can unsubscribe at any time; this does not cancel a paid membership.
Who helps us run the House
We use Wix for website hosting, accounts, memberships, subscriptions and email functions, and payment processors for secure payments. Google reCAPTCHA may be used to protect registration and sign-in from abuse. These providers process information as needed to deliver the relevant functions. Some providers may process information outside Norway or the EEA, subject to applicable transfer rules and safeguards.
Cookies and local storage
The House uses cookies or local storage needed for sign-in, fraud prevention, preferences, saved work and the basic website experience. Optional measurement or advertising tags may be added later. Where consent is required, non-essential tracking must not run until you have chosen to allow it, and you must be able to change that choice. This page does not itself grant consent to advertising cookies. You can also clear your browser's stored site data, which may sign you out or remove unsynced local work.
How long we keep information
Account and personal-space data are generally kept while your account is active or as reasonably needed to provide the service. We keep financial and business records for the legally required periods, and remove or anonymise other information when no longer needed, subject to legal obligations and legitimate disputes.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet), or an authority in your country. Residents of US states with applicable privacy laws may have additional rights. We do not sell member information as a business model.
Contact and changes
For privacy or account questions, contact hello@stillness.house or write to VALRYGG STUDIO AS, Skagavegen 138C, 8724 Saura, Norway. If our processing changes materially, we will update this page and give additional notice where required.
